The One Thing That Supersedes It All
Today I want to share quickly on the one thing that should supersede all else in your life.
I have been studying behavioral sciences for over 25 years. I have a true passion to help people to discover their identity and their destiny and how to walk that out freely.
See, we all have personality. Our personality was developed during the first seven years of our life and was adapted through what met our needs during that time. Personality is formed through needs-motivated behavior. It’s helpful to us and others to understand our personality. We also need to understand our contributions—the things that we have uniquely that can impact our society for good. Likewise, we must recognize that we have a voice, a message, passion, and purpose. All of these things are so important! But still, there is one thing that supersedes them all. The one thing that trumps all else in our lives should be the voice of the Lord.
In Acts 22:14, the Bible says that God has chosen us to, “know His will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from His mouth.”
Even with all of the gifts and talents and abilities that He has put inside of us; even with our unique contribution to the world; and even with the uniqueness of our personality, when God speaks, He supersedes it all.
God bless you as you hear and obey your Father’s voice.
