Modern day slavery is taking place around the world as human lives are traded and sold, exploited and abused. Join us and founders of Heartwings NGO, Peter and Dorothée Widmer on October 22nd to gain awareness of this crime as well as what you can do to help fight for change. Learn the warning signs for how trafficking happens in our own neighborhoods, as well as how you can be a validator of life and a reason to hope for those around you.
Peter and Dorothée Widmer have been married since 1993. They have lived in Tanzania, East Africa and worked with a relief organization amongst orphans and street children. During that time, their hearts were drawn to the forgotten and forsaken. There they began working with women who wanted to leave the hustling business. Since 2008, they have been boldly working in the Red Light District of Switzerland to give hope and a voice of redemption to those who have been forgotten, abused, or enslaved.
